SJU

SJU is a new name on the Slovak music scene, whose music is full of playful and danceable electronics, colorful visuals, costumes and projections. Until recently known as the drummer in the international band Ora The Molecule, she currently works and creates in Prague, and with her solo project she has already performed in Berlin, London and New York. Her single *Rhythm in Your Pose* was released under the French label Kitsune Musique, and was featured in the HBO reboot of the series Gossip Girl. One of her latest tracks NYE Sko was added to Fresh Finds & Fresh Finds Indie playlists on Spotify, and Norwegian label Snorchel Records will be releasing her special vinyl this year. This year, SJU appeared in the longlist for Song of the Year and Discovery of the Year at the Radio Head Music Awards 2023. Her debut album Mind Theatre was released on April 26, followed by an international tour. SJU live currently consists of Sju Smatanová (vocals, synth, percussion) and Ľuboslav Krajňák (Waterbased, Mosayqra) on guitar and electronic textures. SJU also has its own fashion label BySJU and makes hats for Will.I.Am, The Black Eyed Peas, Jungle or Gorillaz.
